ThirstySeed

About Me

Why ThirstySeed?

Good question. Well, the seed represents your passion or purpose which is always present with you constantly seeking expression. It comes to you in your thoughts, your natural inclinations, special talents and abilities. Its what gives your life true meaning and allows your light to shine most brightly.

Regular watering is necessary to keep your seed alive. More often than not this seed suffers from thirst brought on by self doubt, neglect, negative reinforcement and fear.

ThirstySeed aims to deliver the nourishment you need to keep your seed alive and healthy by providing you with a steady stream of motivation and inspiration.

A Word of Advice on ‘Words of Advice’

Hello and welcome to the inaugural post of ThirstySeed. My name is Anthony Idem Jr and I just want you to know that of all of the ventures that I am involved with, this is the one that I am most proud of because I feel like it truly touches on my deepest passion. My greatest purpose and passion in life (in case you didn’t know) is to teach, motivate and inspire other people to reach their highest potential.  I don’t usually share that with other people but we’re all friends here, right?

Now, I want to touch briefly on the subject of taking advice. It seems innocent enough doesn’t it? In some areas it makes complete sense to listen to the advice of others. For example when you are advised that it’s raining outside, you sure as hell want to make sure that you’re packing an umbrella. But that’s not the type of advice I’m talking about. What I’m referring to is the type of advice that comes from people who are influential in our lives and that actually tears us down rather than pushing us forward. It serves to keep us from chasing after our dreams.  Its sound like this: “Anthony, you are a smart guy but the chances of anyone making it big in business are pretty slim.” Yea, that’s nice but I’m not just anyone…

The problem with this advice, however, is that it comes from people that, while meaning well, usually have not at all endeavored to achieve anything of any significance in their own lives. Worse still is when those “advisors” HAVE set out on the path to pursue their passions only to have met with defeat and have since given up never to make another attempt.  These are the ones seeking to “spare” us from the sting of the disappointment that they have felt in the past.

But who is anyone else to tell you that you can’t achieve anything that you put your mind to? Guard against this kind of advice with everything you have. It can be VERY difficult because some of these people are friends or even family members whose opinions we value highly.  In order for us to get to the next level of success in our lives we have to learn to ignore this type of passive negativity.

A wise man once gave me a valuable piece of advice from on this very topic. He told me, “Anthony, NEVER take advice from someone who is not where you want to be or trying their damndest to get there.” These words have proven to be true in my own life and I have tried my very best to honor them.

I urge you to keep reading this blog. If you are serious about pursuing your passion in business and in life, it will pay off big time.  But please, make no mistakes about your mission. The pursuit will require hard work, patience, taking risks and getting lucky. Your experiences may bring you to the highest of the highs but they will also drop you to the loooowest of the lows. But it will all be worth it because at the end of the journey lies a LIFE that has been lived to the fullest.  Think about that for a second. We only get one shot at life so why not give all we have to discovering and manifesting our purpose and passion.  Please, take the advice of someone who is walking the walk and not just talking the talk.

I have literally given my life over to the belief that if we follow our passion and purpose with everything that we have, we will ultimately achieve the objects of our desires. But it gets very difficult along the way…So, I have created this site as much for myself as I have for you.  It will help me during the rough times as well.  None of us can do anything alone in this life. I have been inspired by so many others and hope that ThirstySeed will also inspire you.

Last but not least, please don’t ever give up. Never quit. Don’t stop. Just keep going until you have received every last thing that you have ever wanted from this life and your passion is fulfilled. And if ever your life makes you feel as though you should throw in the towel (as it undoubtedly will), PLEASE stop by this site and water your ThirstySeed.

Stay inspired,

Anthony Idem Jr.
